Open banking: Identity on-demand

Open Banking provides an open-source platform of financial data, allowing existing financial institutions to share their data with emerging FinTech firms to develop new open banking APIs and technologies in the digital banking industry. This results in more third-party access and hence, higher risk. But apart from the security concerns, having the ability to control and share your identity on-demand can solve many problems. Imagine opening a bank account with only your fingerprint or not having to carry your passport if you are a frequent traveler. The possibilities are abundant. Put on your thinking hats and submit solutions that enhance digital banking experiences like faster innovation, personalized offers, and detailed customer insights, with Open Banking.

Cyber Security in financial services

Whenever cyber threats to the banking industry progress, the data security risk to financial institutions increases. These financial institutions are entrusted with huge data consisting of personally identifiable information of every customer and client. The high value of this data on the darknet makes this sector an attractive target for cybercriminals. Any data breach can severely impact overall financials, brand reputation, and customer loyalty.

Hence, we are looking for cybersecurity enthusiasts to build innovative and secured products that can help enhance financial services security by utilizing the latest cutting-edge technologies. Example :

  • Build strategies to enhance financial services compliance
  • Amplify the continuous monitoring and rapidly implement cyber-attack countermeasures with high accuracy
  • A system that gives quick auto-response to threats that are persistent
  • Tools that protect customer data from cybercriminals and secure valuable intellectual property
  • Using AI/ML to identify suspicious transactions by combining strong identification and authentication methods
  • Automated solution for banks to sift through large amounts of data in real-time
Monitoring Hotspots in Distributed Computing

The computing industry has embraced distributed computing that has enabled providing services for global customers at an unprecedented scale in the past few decades. This paradigm shift has, however, also introduced new challenges and patterns yet to be refined in terms of scalability, heterogeneity, security, failure management, etc. We welcome all technology enthusiasts to submit solutions for various challenges around distributed computing. Example :

  • System monitoring is a crucial first step towards building a predictive analysis for system availability. Unless organizations can monitor the anomalies in the system, it’s hard to predict. In this area, we would like to monitor the buildup of hotspots in the tech stack, which can enable us to take proactive actions to prevent it from breaking.
  • Build an approach where the system health and performance can be monitored to highlight the buildup of hotspots, which can then be tied to alerting and auto-scaling. You can assume Enterprise level systems with multiple data centers, global user distribution, and 24x7 usage.
